Former Pennsylvania Regional Training Center (PRTC) senior athlete Tyler Berger delivered a statement performance at Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) 157, securing a second-round TKO victory over Christian Carr in a featherweight bout.
Berger, a collegiate wrestling standout who has seamlessly transitioned into mixed martial arts, demonstrated remarkable evolution in his striking and overall MMA game. Now living and training full-time in Philadelphia, Berger attributes his rapid ascension in the sport to his dedicated training environment at Philadelphia Striking Academy.
“The win solidified everything we thought going into the fight… 1) my opponent was going to be the most dangerous/biggest challenge yet 2) I’m willing to walk through the fire and put my opponent in deep waters to finish the fight,” said Berger following the victory.
The performance showcased not only Berger’s world-class wrestling foundation but also the striking proficiency and composure he has developed since committing to MMA.
“Philadelphia Striking Academy is the reason I’m where I’m at in my career,” Berger emphasized. “I took my first fight a year and a half ago and the guy you see in the cage is a direct result of coaches and training partners that have invested so much into me.
